Lincoln Square's next chapter is underway. Arlington celebrated Anthem's groundbreaking on August 3, 2026. The August report describes more than $135 million in planned investment across 43 acres, with completion targeted for early 2028. ([1])

The plan calls for 404,000 square feet of retail, dining, entertainment and public space after demolition of 70,000 square feet. ([1])

A separate infrastructure commitment helps explain the transformation. The February incentive announcement describes up to approximately $24.5 million in reimbursements for eligible work, including utilities, lighting and pavement. Trademark committed to at least $100 million excluding tenant build-outs. The directory lists familiar businesses including Michaels and PetSmart.
